Marc Richards, the Hereford head coach, felt the Bulls created enough goal scoring situations at the Impact Arena against Alfreton to have picked up all three points.

“I think on chances we should have won the game. It was pretty competitive all over the park, but you could see the effect Saturday’s poor defeat had on the Alfreton side who wanted to put that result behind them.

“We didn’t reach the levels we showed in the second half against Stockport at the weekend, but we have come away with a one-all draw. It’s another good away result.

“We had some good spells and with a bit more composure we could have scored more goals. But we didn’t stamp our authority on the game to enable us to be as expansive as I want”.
