We’re Off! It’s all set for the first Hereford FC Academy Raceday which is aimed at raising awareness and funds for the clubs’ youth academy on Monday, 11th February.
There will be a real football feel to the raceday, with a jockey vs footballer penalty shoot-out before racing, the winner receiving their height in Westons Cider. Hereford FC players will also be on hand throughout the day to meet with fans and race-goers, who can also try their own hand at a penalty shootout.
Hereford FC Season Ticket Holders will gain free admission on the day, available in advance only.
Additionally, a hospitality package is available including a two-course lunch in the Hereford FC Restaurant overlooking the finishing straight at a cost of £60 plus VAT, with all proceeds donated towards the Hereford FC Academy.
Rebecca Davies, Executive Director at the Racecourse hopes to see plenty of Hereford supporters on the day, “I am thrilled to be working so closely with Hereford FC. We have both had our challenges in the past but together we are helping the City enjoy a sporting resurgence. I hope many season ticket holders will come and enjoy the day for free, and that together we can raise a substantial amount.”
General Manager of Hereford FC, James Watts, said, “Additional funding will help us develop players from a younger age and this partnership with Hereford Racecourse is an ideal opportunity to raise the necessary funds to progress our Academy whilst offering our fans an alternative day out during the football season.”
Hereford FC season ticket holders must apply for their complimentary ticket no later than Monday 4th February 2019 by emailing info@hereford-racecourse.co.uk with details of their stand or seat number.
